Dr. George Atanasiu grew up in Romania, and immigrated to Canada in 1987. After finishing high school in Toronto, he went back to Romania where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following this, he returned to Canada and earned his DDS degree at University of Western Ontario in London in 2006. He started practicing in Ontario and then moved to Alberta where he worked for 4 years in an established family practice. He has been practicing in Ottawa since 2011.
Dr. George is an extremely competent and compassionate dentist and is continuously open to learning. He is furthering his dental training with numerous courses and with continued education at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is extremely friendly, gentle, and caring with every patient. He believes in spending quality time with each patient in order to provide the top-quality care and form the lasting relationships with patients that make dentistry very rewarding.
In his spare time, Dr. George is a skilled amateur photographer, enjoys athletics, riding his motorcycle, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. George is an active member of Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association and registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. He is certified with Invisalign for Orthodontic procedures, Biolase for laser procedures and E4D for CAD/CAM digital impressions and restorations.
Dr. Melanie Milito was born and raised in southwestern Ontario. It was here that Melanie developed a passion for dentistry after receiving orthodontic treatment as an adolescent and shadowing with her family dentist. In 2013, she made the move to Ottawa to attend the University of Ottawa and obtained an honours degree in Biomedical Science. Combining her love for travel and education, she moved to Ireland to complete her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at University College Cork.
After graduating, she returned to Ottawa with her fiancé to start her future at Lotus Dental Clinic. When she is not working, she enjoys travelling, being active, and spending time with her family.
Melanie is very excited to join the team and is looking forward to providing a high standard of care for her patients!
